Men's Fashion Trends for Winter 2006

Kelly Smith

Okay, so you think men don't have fashion trends? Well guess again.

There are always a few practical items to add to your closet every season. Remember if you buy quality, you will have these items for the long haul.

The Tweed Jacket

This look is classic and will be able to be worn for seasons, thus making it a great investment. You can dress it down with a pair of nice jeans, or pair it with slacks for a corner office casual outfit to wear in the office. Paired with jeans, a turtleneck, scarf, and gloves, it's a perfect outfit for doing your holiday running around instead of carrying around a heavy coat.

V-Neck Sweater

This preppy look is always a perfect for casual wear. Another way to wear it is with a white collared shirt underneath for extra warmth or to create a sleek appearance. Of course, wearing one under a tweed jacket is a wonderful look for fall!

Military Coat

This has been seen all over the runway from top designers. It's a great look to show that you mean business and will be a prominent style now and in the future.

Striped Shirt

From bold and thick stripes to thin ones, it's a good look that you will find easy to integrate into many ensembles. Verticals and diagonals are always the most flattering!

Merino Wool or Cashmere Scarf

Try one in a plaid, tartan, or herringbone pattern. It will add an extra something to your entire look and can easily update your style.

So get out there and buy yourself something fun and hip! If you invest in a trendy piece that fits your lifestyle, I guarantee you will find yourself wearing it far beyond this winter!
