2016 Republican presidential candidate and neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson spoke at the Purple Tent at the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC) in Cleveland hosted by Project Love-Purple America. Project Love-Purple America erected a large Purple Tent during the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC) in Cleveland. Purple America supports and encourages Americans to engage in civil dialog. Speakers and panelists such as Dr. Ben Carson, Michael Medved and Michael Steele appeared throughout the week to discuss civility in politics and life.
In this video, Stuart Muszynski, President and CEO of Project Love-Purple America, tells about the Purple Tent and how red and blue need to come together in a civil way.
The keynote speaker in the Purple Tent on Wednesday July 20, 2016 was Dr. Ben Carson. Dr. Carson spoke of the division we have in the country and said it would be difficult to bring the US down from the outside but the enemy creates division and strife to bring us down from the inside.
Dr. Carson spoke of protests in general and Black Lives Matter in particular.
