Bend it Baby with the LensBaby

If you're serious about photography and have a Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera, here's a cool tool for your bag.

Lensbabies™ selective focus SLR camera lenses bring one area of your photo into sharp focus, with that "sweet spot" surrounded by graduated blur. You can move the sweet spot to any part of your photo by bending the flexible lens tubing.

Lensbaby 2.0It's not just an attachment. The Lensbaby is an actual SLR lens. You take your current lens off your camera and put the Lensbaby on.

Focus the Lensbaby 2.0 (seen at left) by moving the focusing collar in and out with your fingertips. Move the "sweet spot" of focus around the picture by bending the lens left, right, up, & down, like a fluid tilt-shift lens. Most photographers are getting rewarding shots after a short practice period.

The Lensbaby 3G lens is a workhorse for photographers who require precise focusing, complete control, longer exposures, and repeatability. Lensbaby 3G

When working with dynamic subject matter you can focus Lensbaby 3G (seen at left) just like Lensbaby 2.0 -- by compressing and bending. For slower moving or static subject matter, you can lock the lens in place simply by pressing a button on the focusing collar.

Then you can fine focus using a traditional barrel focusing ring and fine tune the tilt to place the sweet spot exactly where you want.
