Seal Shield washable keyboards and mice

Achoo!

Fortunately this is just a winter cold and not the flu. I've been pressing the flesh at a lot of events lately so I could have picked up something. But I've been careful - and so have others. For example, the most coveted swag at the recent COSE Business Fest was a tube of hand sanitizer.

Of course we can also pick up germs from contact with items that infected people have touched. You already know about remotes, door handles and the phone but what about keyboards and mice?

Unless your keyboard is black or just a few months old, you can see the grime that has accumulated on the keys. Yuck. The mouse gets the same kind of nasty exposure. But unless you are Adrian Monk you probably don't clean your input devices until you spill something on them.

After a java or Coke bath, you have to jump through hoops to gently wash, rinse and dry the devices so they won't be rendered useless. Keyboards and mice are relatively inexpensive but you don't want to pitch them after the first spill do you?

Washable keyboards from Seal Shield

Go ahead and wash those Seal Shield keybaords and mice

With current fear of pandemics, Seal Shield devices are a good idea. Seal Shield produces 100% waterproof, washable keyboards, mice & TV remotes. The surfaces are coated with an antimicrobial that virtually eliminate bacteria.

They work and feel just like regular quality devices but they come with a patent pending Seal Cap that protects the connector so you can even put them in the dishwasher.

Or put them in the dishwasher!

They cost more than standard keyboards and mice but are still reasonable at about $50 (depending on which model and features you choose - browse the product line).

These seem a godsend for shared PCs in schools, the family room, libraries, community centers, public kiosks and of course, medical offices and hospitals. They could prevent a lot of bugs from jumping from hand to device to hand in such environments.

A great idea and implementation so we give Seal Shield the coveted GreatLakesGeek recommended product designation.
